Do It Yourself Birthday Card

I have been feeling so objective-less about myself and so much bored of it that even talking about it seems like, well...objective-less. The need to live life overtakes my thought process from the moment I wake up to all that force-able sleep that I put myself into. Yes, I am bothered inside, too much, too close to the breaking point.

Anyway, this is not about my cribbing but about the little activity my 9 year old nephew and I did together for, well someone who is, perhaps, leave it. Here is a Do It Yourself birthday card that was a mix of inspiration from Etsy, a Bollywood movie poster, New York Times and some overcooked original words by my unsatisfied ego.

Ok so here's the finished product, just so to introduce you all with what exactly it looked like from the front (I am not too good at tying Ribbons...did it just to ensure the thoughts end well)

C in Old English Font (NewYorkTimes) outlined with a 3D outliner,
Special 26 movie poster, Ribbon and colorful words

Ok, let me not waste time admiring my own work. Here's how it looked inside...

Balloons.....you might not gift a room but
still decorate a card like a Room
.
So here are a few glimpses of how you make it...

Cut some chart paper in whatever LxB you want it to be
(My little helping hand at work at 11 PM not worried about school next day)

Create these frog like things for the 3D effect on balloons inside the card

Cutting Balloons out of coloured papers
(In this case we used 26 since CJ turned 26)

Some fun in-between

Already feels like they are going up, up and awayyyyyy

Decorative string and some paper over it
(I know it appears like BOATS going in a line...that's beautiful isn't it?)

Now you know what's the use of those boats..hehe!!

Its 2 AM...finally he surrendered to sleep..

Almost done...

So here's the stuff that you need:
- Colored sheets (to cut balloons and triangles over the strings)
- One big thick chart paper (the card needs to be a little stiff)
- A decorative string
- 3D outliner
- Glue
- Extra paper to make that froggy shapes stuck below the balloons for that 3D look)
- Ribbon
- Internet (to see this post)

When done, write Happy Birthday in those triangles with the 3d outliner, hang it straight and it feels like a Mini room with strings and balloons. Awesome, isn't it?

Though I really wish I could really write more of what's going inside (I haven't still scribbled Pushkar Diaries part 2 and the recent Himachal trip) I had rather let go off those thoughts for now. More or less, this card gave me a reason to feel alive and thinking for some time. Somebody help me unleash that imagination that's lying low for years. Help! I need a partner!!!!!
