Cute children....who acted brilliantly (made us/me proud)

Is it our movie.....is it INDIAN movie........???.is it???
Does that make u nd me proud???..............anyone???
YES??
No??
We the people are celebrating as if an INDIAN movie got an OSCAR....DAMN u INDIANS
Can anybody tell me what would have happened to the fate of this movie if it had been made here...produced in this very country.......directed in this very country.....spoken in this very country's language.....the fate wuold have been FATE-less........
The damn result would have been the same........same that happens to movies like "Mumbai calling"..."wednesday"....."traffic signal".........
Werent these supposed to be real movies too........just like ur present sweetheart SLUMDOG MILLIONARE???
Well.......Mr.Amitabh Bacchan was very right when he said that such kind of movies heve always been made in india but they never got recognized.... he said
"The commercial escapist world of Indian cinema had vociferously battled for years, on the attention paid and the adulation given to the legendary Satyajit Ray at all the prestigious film festivals of the west, and not a word of appreciation for the entertaining mass oriented box-office blockbusters that were being churned out from Mumbai. The argument: Ray portrayed reality; the other, escapism, fantasy and incredulous posturing. Unimpressive for Cannes and Berlin and Venice."
These words are true.....west got entertained.......isnt it the MOCKERY.of us ???..
And we laugh at it.......enjoy our own.......SLUM DOGNESS.....for what???
May be this movie presented the reality.....our own movies do it too........but do we get an oscar???
Mr.Bachchan added that an Indian director making a western-style film might not meet with the attention lavished on Slumdog Millionaire: "It's just that the SM idea, authored by an Indian and conceived and cinematically put together by a westerner, gets creative globe recognition. The other would perhaps not."
Obviously....if it had no DANNY BOYLE...no ENGLISH.....no Internationalistic view.......then would we have enjoyed that Slum dog movie being named in OSCAR???
Indians should instead be proud of INDIAN CONNECTION...i.e. A.R.Rehman....nd those children......nd dammit learn to respect whats produced inside too...
Gandhiji called it SWADESHI........dont u forget people........its not ur movie........u just have a connection with it.....
So my dear 'o' dear proud indians.......look inside........there were a millions osf SLUMDOG MOVIES produced nd more are coming........nd all u need is a Westerner to put u on the map of the world.......
If this is ur thinking........u r the real slumdogs then........Slum bcoz ur poor inside......u hate whats ur own nd desire what others got.........nd DOG bcoz a dog always likes to wag his tail to the one giving it food..........dependent on alms!....
Not to forget ur millionares too..........increasing millions daily to suck the blood out of the already reeling Mother Earth

You got there a very pessimistic view there... no problem sir, opinions is something everyone got!!
ReplyDeleteYes, i/we belong to slum coz i/we do desire what others got... n why just that, i/we desire even more and better than others... n we do work for it sir. Tell me a single person sir who didn't appreciated Wednesday or Khuda ke liye... it's just that these films doesn't got that much publicity. Because of publicity people went to watch films even like Delhi 6 or Singh is King for that matter.
And sir, one should always be humble to the one who did things for us.. without asking. BTW sir, this film doesn't belong to Danny Boyle alone... As we are humble to him for showcasing us, even he is humble to us for giving him the story of his life... it's mutual! we are enjoying our success with due respect to his.
So what if we are also slum-dogs... this film is more about an awakening about the society around us and at the last place about the Oscars. When you talked about all those not so good facts about this foreign film you missed the very message of the author(who is Indian... if that helps a bit). i.e. Such is the world/country/community we live in... you don't like it?? so instead of sitting in front of your PC and crying over it... CHANGE IT!!
my friend says "well done is better than well said" sir!
